How Human can I be without Great Sin?
How human can I be without great sin
With dreams that rock along a mountain edge
On feelings that have driven famed women
Although they balance on a stony ledge?
My flesh alerts me to my selfish need
To free the thoughts of my artistic mind,
But God won’t let me write it on my own.
Since I am trying to plant the perfect seed,
I think what I dare write in these confines,
Till God frees me from these restricted lines,
So I can be more human in my tone.
