you and the dolls again. I like the idea of black dolls. My sis never had any when she was a kid. In other words, i never saw any when i was a kid and still haven’t. I’ll wait till i start having kids…
Your sister didn’t have any dolls at all or your sister had dolls, but they weren’t black? I really enjoy collecting dolls. It is a fun hobby. Lately I have been collecting mugs. It is probably not a great idea since I am rather clumsy. I know…a clumsy dancer lol I am only clumsy when there is no music and I have to walk.
My bad, i actually meant that she had no black dolls.
Aw…Why didn’t she have black dolls? They didn’t sell any in the store?
These look beautiful! Especially the one with blue eyes! Looking at this picture reminded me of my mother telling me that she had a black doll when she was a little girl, and that was in the 1940’s. Very unusual for a white girl to have a black doll in Britain at that time. I think my mother said she chose it out of all the other dolls because it stood out to her and no-one else had one! She often mentioned how much she loved that doll, pity she didn’t still have it, it would have been nice to have seen it. But I’m sure it would not have been smart as your four ladies here, all cosy on the bed!
Wow…I wish I knew which doll it was, especially since there were not that many black dolls back then.
Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog for a little while today. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as good as when I arrived. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks!
Thank you so much for stopping by!!! I do not know how I missed this message! Blessings to you!
